Department of cardiology was started in 2013. Over past 5 years we have performed more than 6000 interventional procedures and 500 cardiac surgeries.

  • 20 Bedded Cardiac Care Unit and 15 Bedded Intensive Care Unit with state-of-the art monitoring equipments, ventilators, IABP and infusion pumps for better care and safety

Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery

SMCH Started its Cardio Thoracic Unit on 31st January 2014. First Hospital to start Cardio Thoracic OT other than Corporate Hospitals in Coimbatore. So far 700 cases has been done in CT OT, Which are as follows CABG, ASD & VSD Surgical closure, Valve Replacement and other congenital heart Surgery.
